As a busy career woman working in fast-paced startups, I learned to work hard and play hard. I’ve always had an adventurous spirit and a deep love for the outdoors and travel.
My solo travel journey began unexpectedly. I had arranged a timeshare exchange in Martinique and invited a girlfriend to join me. The night before we were supposed to leave, she backed out. Everything was already planned and paid for—what was I supposed to do?
I took a leap of faith and went alone. I won’t lie—it was uncomfortable at first. But I pushed through, and I’m so glad I did. Martinique was stunning, and the experience opened something inside me. If she hadn’t canceled, I may never have discovered the confidence and joy of traveling solo.
As a single woman, I often found myself longing to travel, but with no one available to go with me. My friends were married, focused on their families—as they should be. I understood. But I had to make a choice: give up my dream of exploring the world, or go it alone.
I chose adventure.
I created SoloPowerTrip.com after noticing so many women in the same situation. Online, I saw women begging for travel companions—not because they wanted one, but because they felt they needed one. I saw women’s travel companies charging outrageous prices that made travel feel out of reach for many.
But it doesn’t have to be that way.
Here, I’ll be sharing smart, safe, and empowering strategies for traveling solo—without breaking the bank. Whether you’re newly single, feeling stuck, or just yearning to see the world on your own terms, you’re not alone in this journey.
Stay tuned. Your power trip starts here.
